Nesto vs Lulu: Whose Weekly Offers Save More This Week?
If you shop at both Nesto and Lulu, you have probably wondered which one's weekly offers actually save you more. We checked a basic six-item basket on 26 October 2026: basmati rice, sunflower oil, whole chicken, eggs, fresh milk and sugar.
The honest answer today is that the two stores are not offering deals on the same items, so a straight head-to-head is tricky. Here is what we found, item by item, and how to use it.
The short answer for today
Nesto had matches for three of our six items today, totalling AED 47.97. Lulu had a match for one item, at AED 18.25.
That does not mean Nesto is cheaper across the board. The items simply do not overlap: Nesto's deals today cover sunflower oil, chicken and sugar, while Lulu's covers fresh milk. Neither store had a match for basmati rice or eggs today.
On discounts alone, Nesto's three offers knock AED 20.96 off the regular prices, while Lulu's milk offer saves AED 4.85.
Nesto's standout deals: chicken, oil and sugar
The biggest discount we found today is the Sadia Whole Chicken 900Gm at Nesto for AED 9.99, down from AED 17.99. That is 45% off, or AED 1.11 per 100g.
Nesto also has Meezan Gold Pure Sunflower Oil 4Lt at AED 31.99, down from AED 42.99 (26% off). That works out at AED 8.00 per litre and saves AED 11.00, the largest saving in cash terms.
For sugar, Mr.Chef White Sugar 2Kg is AED 5.99 at Nesto, down from AED 7.95 (25% off), or AED 3.00 per kg.
Lulu's deal: a gallon of fresh milk
Lulu's offer in our basket today is LuLu Full Cream Fresh Milk 1 Gallon at AED 18.25, down from AED 23.10. That is 21% off, a saving of AED 4.85.
If your household gets through a lot of milk, a gallon on offer is worth picking up, especially if you are already passing a Lulu this week.
What we could not compare
We did not find a good match for basmati rice or eggs at either store today. Both are weekly staples for most UAE families, so check the shelves or leaflets directly before you go.
Because each store's deals today cover different items, the basket totals are not a like-for-like comparison. Treat them as a guide to where each store's offers are strongest this week.
So which store should you visit this week?
If chicken, cooking oil or sugar are on your list, Nesto's offers today give the bigger savings. The chicken and oil deals in particular are large discounts on items most families buy regularly.
If you need milk, Lulu's gallon offer is the one to grab. For many households, the cheapest plan this week is a main shop at Nesto plus a quick Lulu stop for milk, if both are convenient.

Quick ways to save
- Compare price per unit, not just the shelf price. Nesto's sunflower oil works out at AED 8.00 per litre today, which makes it easy to check against other sizes.
- Stock up on long-life items when the discount is big. Oil and sugar keep well, so 25% to 26% off is a good time to buy.
- Freeze extra chicken on a deep discount. At 45% off, the Sadia Whole Chicken at Nesto is worth buying ahead if you have freezer space.
- Do not compare basket totals alone when stores have different items. Look at each item's price and saving instead.
- Check prices on the day you shop. Offers change daily, so today's deals may not last the whole week.
